FACE TO FACE

Photographic series, editing project

Collected in separate editing projects from 30 to 100 pages, these night photograph series draw up an impossible inventory of night-insects that happen to land on my window over the months, in an isolated house in the south-west of France.

This systematic approach allows us to pay close attention to each of every living creature that comes out of the night’s depth and appears on the surface of the window pane. This unusual vantage point and camera set-up provides an astonishing perspective. It brings up issues of our way of co-existing with these various life forms, within the current context of an alarming decrease in biodiversity.
